Mechanical exfoliation: this is provided by the granulated sugar which rubs on skin to remove dead skin cells. As a natural source of glycolic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), sugar is able to deeply penetrate the tight layers of skin and clean oil and dirt.
Chemical exfoliation: this is provided by the lactic acid. It work its magic by gently breaking down dead skin cells to reveal fresh and glowing skin.
